These gatherings are adored by guests of all adult ages, from twenty-one to those with a few more decades of wisdom. They reward curiosity, wit, and a sharp eye for detail. Physical exertion is minimal while mental agility and a penchant for clever social interplay are paramount. Acting experience is not required to participate in a Murder Mystryss Event. What is essential, however, is a willingness to step into your assigned character and inhabit their thoughts, motivations, and quirks with curiosity and enthusiasm. I shall provide guidance and support through a series of pre-event missives, including roleplay exercises, ensuring that you may arrive confident and ready to contribute to the living story the Mystryss has so carefully woven.

Guests are expected to arrive attired in a manner that honors the world of the event. A Murder Mystryss Event is a high-quality, meticulously crafted affair, and your presentation reflects both respect for the immersive experience and appreciation for the efforts of your fellow participants. Costumes need not be extravagant, yet thoughtful attire, whether understated or flamboyant, ensures that the illusion is preserved and that every guest contributes to the spectacle. I am at your service to provide assistance, inspiration, and practical suggestions to help you select a look suitable for your character.

Murder Mystryss Events require only gentle participation: speaking, gesturing, and engaging with fellow guests. Certain optional flourishes, perhaps a brief dance at a Masquerade Ball, may call for a touch more movement, but participation in such elements is entirely at your discretion. One’s enjoyment of the affair is never contingent upon physical ability.

Upon securing your place at the affair, you shall receive a brief missive in the form of a questionnaire. Herein, you may indicate your preferred level of engagement, selecting from character types, temperament. whether quiet or boisterous. and your inclination toward sleuthing or suspecting. Do note that certain roles and their availability may be subject to the venue’s policies, but rest assured, every guest will enjoy the opportunity to choose their measure of involvement in the unfolding mystery.

While a personal smartphone is not strictly required, it is most strongly recommended, as it grants access to digital clues and the means to participate in voting. Sharing a device with a companion is, of course, permitted. Reading, however, is essential: each guest receives a character packet containing vital information, secrets, and relationships that must be reviewed to partake fully in the affair. Should reading glasses be part of your daily life, do bring them along. Arriving without a phone or your necessary spectacles will not entirely preclude enjoyment of the spectacle, but do be aware… you shall face a distinct disadvantage.

The Mystryss crafts each affair with accessibility in mind, though the venue itself imposes certain limitations. While we are, at the moment, unable to conjure an elevator where none exists, every effort is made to accommodate needs of mobility, vision, and general comfort. Pray, do inform me of any special requirements at the time of booking, that I may provide guidance and ensure your experience remains as splendid as intended.

1. The client provides a list of names and email addresses for their intended guests.

2. Guests receive a courteous missive confirming their email address.

3. Once confirmed, a link to a form is delivered, allowing each guest to indicate character preferences and any special considerations.

4. Characters are then thoughtfully assigned, and each guest receives an introductory note containing their character’s name and a brief backstory to assist with costume planning.

5. One week prior to the event, the full character packet arrives, brimming with secrets, relationships, and details essential to the unfolding mystery.

6. In the days leading to the gathering, daily communications provide roleplay exercises and optional Facebook group engagement to practice and prepare.

7. The eve before the event brings a final preparation missive, outlining items to bring and any last-minute instructions.

8. On the day itself, guests check in, receive their complete packets, and step fully into the immersive experience.
